Tomorrow my sister leaves for Bali for a youth symposium sponsored by the United Nations. In September/October she leaves for New York to take an internship also with the UN.
In three short months I feel that my sister would have experienced more in life than I have in two years.

Once upon a time, I believed that happiness lied within the glossy fashion pages of a magazine. Don’t get me wrong, publishing is still my first love (career wise), but I feel that there’s so much more I can do in life, and so much more I can give—talent wise, that is.

Hate is a word I don’t like to use or throw around loosely, simply because there is such gravity that comes with it when you say it in moments when you really mean it.
While I do use the term “hate” to refer to certain food (i.e. carrots) or people because I’m jealous of them—the word doesn’t really have much of a bearing in cases like these.
